    Honoree: Officer John Coughlin

    The C.H.I.P.S. 2023 Spring Luncheon, benefiting Operation Progress, honored Officer John Coughlin for his operational support of Operation Progress and commitment to alleviating the cycle of poverty. By founding this organization, he has changed lives, provided hope and made a significant impact in the Watts community. It is his thoughtful commitment to lifting up our communities with skills, knowledge, and tools to help kids to be able to see a brighter future that may not surround them, that will help them realize their potential and their dreams, infinitely improving our communities and our country.

    Honoree: Bridget Gless Keller

    The CHIPS are so proud of what Bridget has accomplished and applaud her tireless efforts to make an impact on the world and a difference in the lives of the children and families. One of Bridget’s most profound accomplishment was her participation in the new CII Watts campus building. Bridget was actively involved with reviewing many potential architects and budgets. They ultimately secured the legendary architect, Frank Gehry who took on the project pro bono. Bridget was eventually asked to take over as Chair of the Facilities Committee and the Gehry Watts Building project in 2016. She added the Community Safety Partnership office, which is a nationally recognized model for relationship-based policing as well as the Watts Gang Task Force Office to the programming for the building. This new campus in Watts now houses critical therapeutic programs and a variety of supports for children and families including.

    The C.H.I.P.S. 2019 Spring Luncheon, benefiting CII, honored Alex Tuttle & Tiffany Tuttle and the Watts Gang Task Force for their positive impact on children and the community. The Tuttles received the C.H.I.P.S. Philanthropic Service Award for their longstanding philanthropic support of CII’s programs, while the #WattsGangTaskForce was celebrated with the C.H.I.P.S. Inspirational Award for working tirelessly over the past 14 years to improve community safety and build positive relationships between residents and law enforcement in Watts.

    The C.H.I.P.S. 2016 Spring Luncheon and Fashion Show honored Stanley and Fiona Druckenmiller and featured the St. John Pre-Fall 2016 Collection at the Beverly Hills Hotel.     Honoree: Daniel Beaty

    The 2015 C.H.I.P.S. Spring Luncheon was held at Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills. The annual event featured the Altuzarra Pre-Fall and Fall/Winter 2015 Collection, and honored Daniel Beaty, an award-winning actor, singer, writer, and composer. All proceeds from the event benefited Children's Institute, Inc. (CII) to support children affected by abuse and violence in their families or communities.

    In Spring 2014, the C.H.I.P.S. partnered with Saks Fifth Avenue Beverly Hills to host a runway fashion show and luncheon featuring the new Ralph Lauren 2014 Fall Collection at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills. The C.H.I.P.S. are proud to support the performing arts for Children's Institute.

    Honoree: Rochelle Gores Fredston

    In Spring 2013, the C.H.I.P.S. partnered with Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills to host a special in-store luncheon and presentation of the Valentino Fall 2013 collection. On this day, the C.H.I.P.S. were proud to honor Rochelle Gores Fredston for her work supporting Children’s Institute, namely for her creation of Philanthropic Society Los Angeles (PSLA), a group that brings together forward-minded, young philanthropic men and women to raise funds and awareness for the children and families of Children’s Institute.

    Honoree: Caroline Kunitz

    We gathered on the terrace at the Montage Beverly Hills for a champagne reception and luncheon featuring an exclusive presentation of the Michael Kors Fall 2012 collection. Ms. Caroline Kunitz, co-founder of L.A. Diaper Drive, was the lady of the hour as The CHIPS honored her efforts to provide thousands of free diapers to families in need. All proceeds raised benefited CII’s Performing Arts Program.

    Honoree: Eric Garcetti

    The CHIPS presented our 2011 Annual Spring Luncheon on the beautiful terrace of the Montage Beverly Hills. The program included an open-air fashion show featuring Italian designer Bottega Veneta’s 2011-2012 Fall collection. To the delight of all who attended, CII’s Performing Arts students gave an unparalleled performance of I Heard It Through the Grapevine before honoree, Los Angeles City Council President Eric Garcetti, congratulated those present for their support of CII and for “leading with love.” All proceeds benefited CII's Performing Arts Program.

    Honoree: Angie Harmon

    The CHIPS co-hosted an evening of private shopping at the new Nordstrom at Santa Monica Place to celebrate the store’s grand opening to the public the following day. Actress and CII friend Angie Harmon attended as Honorary Chair, and international recording artist Michael Bublé put on a special performance.

    “Today is about catching up with girlfriends in L.A. and supporting a meaningful cause I care about,” said guest of honor Tory Burch, perfectly summing up the 2008 CHIPS Annual Spring Luncheon where guests enjoyed an eye-catching runway show of the designer’s spring and pre-fall collections. Proceeds benefited the children and families at CII.

    The CHIPS collaborated with Honorary Event Chairwoman Nicola Gerber Maramotti of MaxMara to present our 2006 Annual Spring Luncheon. The chic event was held at a private residence in Brentwood where attendees were treated to the very first showing of MaxMara’s fall/winter 2006 collection in the United States.
